It is May 2, and currently 57 degrees - but going down. A good friend flew to Alaska a couple of days ago and landed in snow. It snowed 20 inches in Wyoming last night and there were heavy snow storms in many other parts of the country.
Crazy weather but we live in the Ozarks and it is beautiful!!! I am looking out my back window at the forest which covers the horizon. The trees are full of leaves, the deer are licking on the salt block and the most beautiful rainbow of colors are fluttering past my view as the birds head for the feeders.
There is a mound of dirt just to the right, which to most just looks like a mound of dirt and the remains of a fallen tree. To me, it is the home of a ground hog....a chubby, cute little baby ground hog who likes to sit on top of the fallen tree and survey his territory. That is...until Tiki discovers he is there and then the chase is on.
When I sit in my office and wonder about the challenges that some days seem to overtaking this world, I just turn my chair to the right and view this peaceful creation of God and remind myself that all is still well in this world...because He is still in charge.
